    Analis works with the staff of WRR and the campus community to develop extensive waste reduction and recycling programs at NC State University. She is responsible for the overall management and long term planning related to solid waste, recycling and heavy equipment programs on campus. 

  • Nessa Stone Headshot Nessa Stone Operations Manager

    Nessa oversees all operational aspects for WRR, including major equipment purchases, supervision of the Recycling and Solid Waste crews, and development of new programs. Nessa sets up and maintains all campus collection routes which consist of about 300 trash, cardboard and autoclave dumpsters, and more than 4,200 indoor and outdoor recycling bins for office paper, mixed paper and beverage containers. 

  • Maggy Bell Maggy Bell Program Assistant

    Maggy is the first point of contact for the office of Waste Reduction and Recycling. She assists  students, staff and faculty with all of their recycling and waste diversion service requests. Maggy is also responsible for tracking all of the materials landfilled, recycled, composted, or diverted from NC State University.

  • Adam Bensley Adam Bensley Waste Diversion Coordinator

    Adam, an NC State alumnus, coordinates the University's total waste diversion efforts with a special emphasis on composting and construction & demolition projects. He also monitors and reports on the waste & recycling data obtained through FleetMind, identifying targeted opportunities to move NC State towards zero waste.

  • Lani St. Hill Headshot Milannee St. Hill Outreach Coordinator

    Lani works with students, staff and faculty to strategize, develop, and execute recycling programs. She orchestrates the WE Recycle, Carter-Finley Composts, and other activities designed to promote a culture of recycling and waste minimization on campus. Lani is available to present on recycling related topics for campus groups and offices. She is also the webmaster for the WRR website.

  • Herb Headen Herb Headen Equipment Services Supervisor

    Herb Headen oversees the Equipment Services needs for all of North Carolina State University. From leading the University’s response to adverse weather and emergencies to easily moving 11,000 lbs. of metal, Herb provides the equipment support that departments and facilities around campus require to get the job done. 

  • Luis Gaitan Luis Gaitan Recycling Supervisor

    Luis is the WRR Recycling Supervisor, and manages a team of 7 drivers and a host of daily activities here on campus such as: outdoor recycling collections, bulk debris removal, construction rolloffs, office and department clean-outs, site evaluations and bin placements, special requests, and managing the Dearstyne Convenience Site. Luis has been part of the WRR team since 2000, though a member of the Pack Facilities team since 1993. 

  • Kyra Levau Kyra Levau Marketing Intern

    Kyra is a sophomore earning a BS in Environmental Sciences with a concentration in Marketing, a minor in Spanish and a minor in Statistics. Kyra spends her free time promoting waste diversion on campus as a member of the NC State Sustainability Stewards and vice-president of the Paperless Campus Club at NC State.

  • Ari Alexandrescu Ari Alexandrescu WE Recycle/Compost Intern

    Ari is a student intern earning a BS in Plant & Soil Sciences. Ari focuses on our Compost at Carter-Finley program to recruit volunteers to interact and educate fans on the importance & availability of recycling and composting at each Pack Football game.

  • Clare Morganelli Clare Morganelli Business Operations Intern

    Clare is a senior pursuing a BS in Sustainable Materials and Technology, a minor in Graphic Communications, and a minor in Environmental Science. Her experience in working with the US EPA and Triangle Clean Cities has proven invaluable to WRR and Clare is currently championing several projects for our office, including FleetMind data management and plastic film recycling.

  • Brooke Ganser Brooke Ganser WE Recycle/Compost Intern

    Brooke is a student intern majoring in environmental technology and environmental science with a minor in applied ecology and toxicology. She works with WE Recycle and the new Carter-Finley Stadium Composting program. Brooke oversees volunteer coordination and assists with game day operations that strive towards zero waste.
