April is Earth Month at NC State. From April 1 – 30, NC State will buzz with over 60 sustainability-related events including fairs, workshops, concerts, service opportunities and outdoor activities.

Earth Month Events You Won’t Want to Miss

  • Earth Fair, Wednesday, April 9, 11 AM – 2 PM, Stafford Commons
    With over 50 sustainability-related organizations, this interactive fair offers hands-on activities to inspire sustainable action and opportunities for volunteer service.
  • Celebration of NC State Sustainability, Tuesday, April 22,  8:45 – 10:30 AM, Talley Student Union
    This annual event honors the people, projects and initiatives driving sustainability forward at NC State. The program includes the announcement of the NC State Sustainability Fund grant recipients and the NC State Sustainability Awards
  • Sustainability Social,  Thursday, April 24,  4 – 6 PM, Centennial Campus
    A casual and fun gathering for the Wolfpack community and beyond to connect and celebrate sustainability.

And that’s just a few of the more than 60 event offerings. There are local food showcases, wellness events, speakers, workshops, films, networking events and so much more, including:

  • Wolfpack Sustainability Challenge, April 1-21: NC State staff and students can complete sustainability, wellness and community engagement activities for prizes.
  • Farm Feast, April 2, 4:30 – 8 PM, Fountain Dining Hall: Enjoy a delicious showcase of sustainability-sourced foods from across North Carolina.
  • Meditation with Sun Boxes, April 8-28: Be mesmerized by a sound art installation that peacefully nurtures NC State’s public spaces.
  • Earth Day Clean Up, April 25, 10 AM – 12 PM, Lake Raleigh: Join fellow volunteers in beautifying Lake Raleigh and the surrounding woods and trails.
