WASTE REDUCTION & RECYCLING SERVICES

WRR offers many free services to the campus community, along with billable services. Any of the following services can be requested through the on-line service request form. If you have additional questions please e-mail or call the Waste Reduction and Recycling office.

Confidential Pick Up

Place materials in a closed box marked CONFIDENTIAL and use this form to notify us of the box's location. Please note that someone must sign for the materials at pickup.
NOTE: WRR does not offer shredding services and cannot issue a Certificate of Destruction, but our service is free.

Office CleanOut

Cleaning out your office? Request in advance 1-3 cleanout bins to be delivered to your office. Once full, contact us to have them emptied or collected. These bins can be utilized for all paper, books, journals, magazines and re-usable office supplies.
**Please do not overfill your convenience site; request bins for the office cleanout.

Departmental Cleanout

Cleaning out multiple offices or moving to a new building? Let us know well in advance. Cleanout bins will be delivered to your building’s outdoor central site. Wheel bins inside, fill them, and return them to the central site for collection. Department cleanout bins will be emptied daily, allowing multiple building occupants to purge office recycling more quickly.
NOTE: Cleanout carts may be difficult to move when full; we recommend not filling them to the top to make transporting easier.

Site Evaluation - (Move or add bins)

If your building's dumpsters or bins need evaluation or attention by our staff, please contact us. We will be happy to work with you on the changes necessary to serve the building best.

Zero Waste Event - (Special Event)

If you're having a special event (indoor or outdoor) and need recycling bins for bottles/cans, we are more than happy to provide them. For more information or to reserve event bins please contact our customer service at 515-9421 or recycling@ncsu.edu.

Needs Attention!

If you notice a full dumpster, recycle bin, or any other scheduled service that needs immediate attention please notify us. We will make sure that it gets taken care as soon as possible.
